- Additional Forest Pests
Forest insect pests, both non-native and native, pose a great health and safety risk to the landscape of New Jersey's urban, suburban and rural foested areas. These insects constitute a serious threat to many species of deciduous hardwoods and evergreens in the Garden State, as well as much of North America.
Some pests that have not yet been detected in New Jersey, but that the NJDA is watching include:
Emerald Ash Borer
Sirex Woodwasp
Southern Pine Beetle
