At a young age, Ana Piccininno and her family came to the United States from Argentina. Her parentís rule that she retain their native language was a definite influence on her becoming both a teacher of Spanish and a teacher of English as a Second Language. She also holds other certificates in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. She earned her Bachelorís degree from Kean College and continued with a Masterís degree in Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson University, earning a Supervisor of Education Certificate. Her career began at the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center, and continues with the Juvenile Justice Commission. Ana has served adjudicated youth not only as a teacher, but also as a Transition Specialist where she assisted students with the reentry to their communities. As the World Languages Coordinator she takes pride in providing positive educational experiences for her students via various multi-cultural activities held throughout the year.
