The primary functions of the Office of the Mercer County Chief Operating Officer are to:
  • Provide accounting records and prepare the Annual Financial Statement and prepare the audit schedules and notes to the financial statements for the auditors
  • Process payments to vendors
  • Process in-house payroll and provide local administration of the public employee pension funds
  • Provide for long-term capital project financing for the County, County College, Vocational Technical School, Special Services School District and the Mercer County Board of Social Services
  • Prepare the annual budget along with all required supporting schedules
