Please be advised that on or about Monday, September 8, 2014, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Clarksville Road from Cranbury Road (CR 615) to Princeton-Hightstown Road (CR 571), West Windsor Township.   Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately fourteen (14) working days, weather permitting.

During construction, Clarksville Road (CR 639) will be closed to through traffic.  A detour will be posted with motorists directed to use Princeton-Hightstown Road (CR 571) and Cranbury Road (CR 615).  However, local and emergency access would be permitted.  Work will take place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The detour would be in effect only during these periods.  The road will be open to normal traffic at all other times.

Lawrence Township

Grover's Mill Road (County Route 683)
Lawrence Township

On or about September 2, 2014 milling and resurfacing work on Grover's Mill Road (County Route 683) from Quakerbridge Road to the 101 Grover's Mill Road office complex driveway.  Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately ten (10) working days, weather permitting.

Two lanes of traffic, one lane in each direction, will be maintained during construction from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays only.  Motorists may experience minor delays. Emergency access and access for businesses and residents would be permitted during this time.  During non-working hours, the roadway will be open to all lanes of traffic.

Pennington-Lawrenceville Road (County Route 546)
Lawrence Township

Please be advised that on or about Monday, September 15, 2014 milling and resurfacing work will commence on Pennington-Lawrenceville Road (County Route 546) from Federal City Road to U.S. Route 206. Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately twenty (20) working days, weather permitting.

Two lanes of traffic, one lane in each direction, will be maintained during construction from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays only.  Motorists may experience minor delays. Emergency access and access for businesses and residents would be permitted during this time.  During non-working hours, the roadway will be open to all lanes of traffic.

City of Trenton

Please be advised that on or about August 25, 2014, bridge deck restoration work will begin on the Lincoln Avenue/Chambers Street Bridge (Structure No. 140.9).  Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately five (5) working days, weather permitting.  Due to the nature of the work, the bridge will need to be fully closed on a twenty-four (24) hour basis until project completion.

During construction, motorists will be directed to use North Clinton Avenue and East Street.

Borough of Pennington

Please be advised that on or about Monday, August 11, 2014, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Delaware Avenue (CR 624) from Route 31 to King George Road in Pennington Borough.   Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately fourteen (14) working days, weather permitting.

In order to minimize disruption of traffic, work will proceed by dividing Delaware Avenue into two separate segments:  the first would extend from King George Road to Main Street; the second, from Main Street to Route 31.  Please note that all milling would be completed first, followed by paving.  When work is completed on the first section, the roadway would be closed to through traffic.  A detour will be posted with motorists directed to use North Main Street, Franklin Avenue, Eglantine Avenue and King George Road.  When completing of the second segment, the roadway would be closed with traffic directed to use Route 31 to North Main Street.  However, local and emergency access would be permitted on both segments at all times.  Construction will take place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Detours and lanes shifts will be in effect only during these periods.  The road will be open to normal traffic at all other times.

Township of Ewing

Please be advised that on or about Monday, July 21, 2014, milling and resurfacing work will begin on Lower Ferry Road from Parkway Avenue to Sullivan Avenue, Ewing Township. Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately three (3) weeks, weather permitting.

During construction, northbound Lower Ferry Road will be closed at Sullivan Way.  A detour will be posted with motorists directed to use Sullivan Way/Grand Avenue to Parkway Avenue.  However, local and emergency access would be permitted.  The southbound direction of Lower Ferry Road will be maintained.  Construction will take place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The detour will be in effect only during these periods.  The road will be open to normal traffic at all other times.
