TRENTON, N.J.—Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes joins wrestling superstars from the WWE, local school children and others in a special ceremony that would rename Hamilton Avenue at the Arena “10th Anniversary Avenue.”

The WWE is significant to the ceremonial renaming because the wrestling event was the first event held at the then-just opened arena on Oct. 6, 1999. The event returns a decade later to celebrate the milestone with WWE Smackdown! In a continuation of the 10-year-theme, local 10-year-olds will join the festivities.

For more information, contact Christine Pileckas, Global Spectrum / Sovereign Bank Arena, at (717) 877-6148 (cell) or (609) 656-3233.

Tickets to the Oct. 6 WWE SmackDown are available at the Arena box office; or by phone at 800-298-4200, or online at www.sovereignbankarena.com.
