TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County will host an information session, “Medicine Safety: Play it Safe!” to inform residents on the potential dangers within their medicine cabinets. The workshop will be Wednesday, February 10th from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at County Connection, Route 33 at Paxson Avenue in the Acme Shopping Center, Hamilton.
“It’s important to be aware of how medication affects our and our families health,” said County Executive Brian Hughes, “This seminar offers useful information to anyone attending, but is especially worthwhile to those caring for young children or aging friends and family members.”
Each year people are harmed by mixing medications, taking the incorrect dosage or type of medicine, or injured by general misinformation about what they are taking. Guest speaker, Mary Bridgman, Registered Pharmacist of Capital Health, will cover important information regarding medicine and be available to answer questions. Those attending the seminar will learn the top ten things everyone should learn about medications and safe ways to take them as well as discussing commons questions and misconceptions about what is proper safety when administering and taking medications.
