TRENTON, N.J. - County Executive Brian M. Hughes is pleased to announce that the parking lot of the Main Terminal Building of the Trenton-Mercer Airport will be the registration/kick-off site for the 8th Annual Officer Down, Inc. Motorcycle Run fundraiser, this Saturday, June 25, 2011, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The organization assists all permanently disabled law enforcement officers, and the families of any deceased officers, from New Jersey. The “Run” will start at the Airport parking lot and end at the Prospector’s Restaurant in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
According to County Executive Hughes, “We are pleased to provide the parking lot at Trenton-Mercer Airport to Officer Down, Inc. It is the least we can do for this fine organization that provides much needed assistance to those who bravely served -- and the families of those who served -- the citizens of this state.”
Entrance fee for riders is $20; $10 per passenger. For more information, check the Officer Down website at www.officerdowwnnj.org.
