Trenton, N.J. - The Mercer County Police Academy will hold commencement for the sixth class of police officers on Friday, July 29 at the Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor.
Academy Director Al Paglione will lead the program as the nine graduates and their families will be joined by many Mercer County officials in the graduation exercises. Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes will deliver remarks along with Mercer County Acting Sheriff Jack Kemler, Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph Bocchini Jr., Dr. Patricia C. Donohue, President of Mercer County Community College, and Hopewell Township Police Chief and President of the Mercer Chiefs of Police Association George Meyer.
The nine graduates are: Kyle J. Beasley, Warren County Sheriff’s Office; Shawn G. Bruton, Robbinsville Township Police Department; Tara L. Hendryx, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office; Michael Kenna, Hamilton Township Police Department; Shane M. Krywy, Hamilton Township Police Department; Justin D. McWilliam, Hamilton Township Police Department; Christopher A. Mecca, Warren County Sheriff’s Office; Suania M. Negron, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office; Mark T. Straszewski, Hamilton Township Police Department.
All the graduates will join various police departments in the area or will join a department in the near future. Mark T. Straszewski will serve as the class speaker during commencement.
