TRENTON, N.J.

The Used Electronics Waste/Shredding Event will be held in parking Lot No.1 across from the Sun National Bank Center on Hamilton Avenue. Touch-A-Truck Day will be held at parking Lot No. 2 at Sun National Bank Center located on South Broad Street. Both events will be held rain or shine and admission is free.

Residents will have the opportunity to participate in both events. Attendees may dispose of their unwanted electronics and sensitive personal papers at the Used Electronic Waste/Shredding Event before heading to Touch-A-Truck Day at the Sun National Bank Center to see the different types of trucks on display.

The Used Electronic/Waste Shredding Event is a great way for residents to properly dispose of used electronics and personal papers in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. The Mercer County Improvement Authority hosts several electronics collections throughout the year to help protect the environment and reduce our dependency on landfills.

Touch-A-Truck Day offers children of all ages the chance to experience the vehicles that get the job done. Fire trucks and other vehicles including ambulances, loaders, and garbage trucks will be on display. County employees and owners of area companies will be on hand to answer questions and allow children to climb in or on their vehicles. Food will be available for purchase.

The Used Electronic Waste/Shredding Event will begin at 8 a.m. while Touch-A-Truck Day will begin at 10 a.m. Both events will end at 2 p.m. Free parking will be available to Touch-A-Truck Day attendees at parking Lot No.1. Additional free parking will be available at Lot No. 6 across from the Sun National Bank Center on South Board Street, Lot No. 3 behind the Roadrunner gas station on South Broad Street, and Lot No. 8 across for the Mercer County Administration Building on South Broad Street.
