TRENTON, N.J.
- Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the County’s Cultural and Heritage Commission announce that the FY 2014 Mercer County History Regrant application forms and guidelines are now available online from the Division of Culture and Heritage.

These grants are made available through a partnership between the New Jersey Historical Commission/Department of State and Mercer County's Cultural and Heritage Commission. Both General Operating (GOS) and Special Projects (SP) grants are available to eligible, not-for-profit historical organizations and sites in the County. County-based nonprofit community organizations, local government entities, schools and libraries offering local historical programming and events may also apply for the Special Projects grants.

This year (through February 2014) is Mercer County’s 175th Anniversary and in 2014, the State of New Jersey observes its 350th Anniversary. The Cultural and Heritage Commission will be particularly interested in history projects that honor these momentous commemorative years.

Deadline for submission of the FY 2014 grant applications is June 22, 2013. Organizations are encouraged to review the online guidelines for information on eligibility requirements. Full application forms and guidelines can be found on the Cultural and Heritage pages of Mercer County’s website: www.mercercounty.org under Grants/History. A hard copy of the grants package may also be requested by calling the Division at 609-989-6481 or e-mailing tfagan@mercercounty.org.
