Mercer County’s Constitutional Officers, Clerk Paula Sollami Covello, Sheriff Kevin Larkin, and Surrogate Diane Gerofsky, announced that the winning posters for the 2009 elementary school poster contest for the County will be on display at the Mercer County Library Main Branch. The five posters, from the “My County” poster contest, sponsored by the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COANJ) promoted awareness of Mercer County’s attractions, was and open to local fourth graders. The public is encouraged to stop in the library’s main branch during the months of October and November to view the winning posters.

2nd – Tejaswi Valiveti, Perry L. Drew Elementary School, East Windsor
3rd – Glenn Dobron, Mercerville Elementary School, Hamilton

The winners received special citations and were invited to the Mercer County Courthouse earlier in the year for a ceremony with Mercer County Clerk Sollami Covello, Sheriff Larkin, and Surrogate Gerofsky.

The Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COANJ) was organized in 1920 to establish a cooperative effort among Sheriffs, County Clerks, and Surrogates to improve services rendered to their respective counties.
