TRENTON, N.J. – Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello reminds residents that Tuesday, October 26th is the last day to apply through the mail for a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the upcoming General Election. Further, she is extending hours for Vote-by Mail processing to make it easier for residents to vote by mail.

A registered voter may apply for a Vote-by-Mail ballot by completing an application and returning it to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office by mail at least 7 days prior to the election. A voter may also apply in person at the Mercer County Clerk’s Office until 3:00 P.M., Monday, November 1st, the day before the election.

“With family obligations and demands of work and commuting, Mercer County's voters are busier than ever. Finding time to get to the polls on Election Day has become increasingly difficult for working men and women,” Sollami Covello said.  “The new Vote- by-Mail system was created to make it easier for citizens to participate in elections and cast their vote. Extending our election office hours is part of our goal to make it simpler for voters to participate in elections,” she added.

To make it easier and more convenient for registered voters to cast their ballots in the upcoming General Election, Clerk Sollami Covello’s election office will be open from October 27 through October 29 until 8:00 p.m. to give voters greater convenience in voting by mail:
