TRENTON, NJ – Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello will conduct a review of the first and second phases of Mercer County’s electronic filing system and online record search system with a free seminar for all interested businesses at the Mercer County Community College Conference Center in West Windsor on Monday, November 15th from 8:45 am to 11:30 am.

The E-filing system allows businesses, such as banks, law firms, mortgage lenders and title companies, to easily transact business with the Mercer County Clerk’s Office by sending and receiving paperless records via electronic means, replacing the time-consuming and postage-laden method of land mail.  Partnered with ACS Servicing Company and Sunrise Systems for software, the Mercer County Clerk’s Office adopted the cost-saving system over three years ago to better serve County local businesses.

The County Clerk will also reintroduce McPRESS, Mercer County’s Public Records Electronic Search System that provides easy online access to information on property related transaction records for all of Mercer County dating back to 1997. Mercer now joins eleven other New Jersey counties allowing public access to land title records via computer on a single use or subscription basis.

“E-Filing and McPRESS add to the overall climate of convenience the Clerk’s Office constantly works toward,” said Clerk Sollami Covello.  “Gone is the enormity of paper filing or driving to the courthouse to file or find a basic document,” noted Sollami Covello. “The electronic-filing system that was implemented at the beginning of 2007 offers independence for Mercer County businesses at no new costs to the taxpayer,” the Sollami Covello added.
