The Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders honored the Borden Perlman company, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year, during their September 23rd formal meeting. What began as two friends, George Perlman and Bill Borden, both working in real estate and insurance deciding to share an office to save costs nearly a century ago, has developed into a full partnership helmed by a third generation of leaders.

The company offers services in insurance, bonds and risk management in 48 states and represents over 30 “A” rated insurance companies. Now located in Lawrenceville, Borden Perlman has 42 employees serving more than 6,000 clients.

In addition to their success as a business, Borden Perlman has demonstrated a strong commitment to the community and takes a leadership role in local charities and community development.
