April 14, 2011 - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County honored by Freeholders
Freeholder John Cimino presents Sue Dunning, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County (BBBS-Mercer), with a proclamation designating April as Big Brothers Big Sisters month in Mercer County.
For over 35 years BBBS-Mercer has been serving the children of Mercer County and their families by making quality matches for children with adult volunteers. These volunteers are trained and supported by BBBS to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring relationships that can help them make healthy choices such as staying in school and handling peer pressure appropriately.
“BBBS is an outstanding organization that provides a valuable resource for our community in mentoring our most precious resource, the children of Mercer County,” said Freeholder Cimino, “I’m proud to support such a dynamic organization that helps fill the void for so many young people.”
