The Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders joined Womanspace, Inc. in recognizing April 2011 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Mercer County. Womanspace is a leading not-for-profit agency that has been providing comprehensive services to individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence for the past nine years. In 2010 they provided direct services to 203 victims of sexual violence. Patricia M. Hart, Director, stated that the organization assists survivors from all geographic, social-economic, cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds.
