11/10/2015 - Police Sergeant Examination
To all current Police Sergeant test candidates:
At this time, we are projecting an early 2016 test date. Once an official date is established, it will be posted at this location. You will also be notified via email. Approximately three weeks prior to the test date, you will be sent a notification card in the mail confirming the date, time and location of your exam. Since all official notifications will be sent to your mailing address of record, it’s important that you inform the CSC of any address changes. An on-line change of address form is available for this purpose at http://www.state.nj.us/csc/about/publications/. Once test notices have been mailed, a link will also be posted on our website which will allow you to access this information, on-line, by entering your social security number.
Additionally, an updated version of the Police Sergeant Orientation Guide has recently been posted to the CSC website. The updated guide provides more specific information concerning the video-based portion of the testing process. You may access the Guide from this link: http://www.state.nj.us/csc/seekers/jobs/safety/pro_law_enforce_opp.html.
Please continue to check the website for more information as it becomes available.

7/30/2015 - Entry Level Law Enforcement Announcement
In order to be considered for employment in an entry-level law enforcement position, candidates must pass a written exam called the Law Enforcement Examination (LEE). Those who pass will remain in the eligible pool for two years. The pool of eligible candidates that result from the LEE will be used to fill positions for law enforcement titles in all Civil Service jurisdictions. The last announcement for the entry-level law enforcement exam (LEE) issued June 4, 2013 and closed on September 4, 2013. Testing took place in November and December, 2013. Test results for the LEE were issued on May 1, 2014. We anticipate that the next LEE announcement will be issued in the Spring/Summer of 2016.
