Program Description

Successful public-sector projects are critical to serve and enhance the lives of New Jersey State citizens. Public-sector projects present a unique set of dynamics requiring increased transparency and sound governance to address stakeholder pressure. This program has been designed with that understanding as its basis.

Project management provides a framework to guide project teams from start to finish, so they can meet objectives and exceed stakeholders’ expectations. This six-day (36 hours) program is designed to provide foundational information about key project management process groups and knowledge areas. Participants will learn about the entire project management life cycle in an informative and interactive way. Participants will also acquire management competencies, leadership behaviors, and practical skills to apply the tools and techniques that exemplify project management best practices in the public-sector.

The program content is aligned with “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge - PMBOK® Guide (sixth edition)” - published by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The Institute is a global organization that represents the project management discipline.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of the 36-hour program.
This program is not a PMP® Preparation Training.
