For more information concerning the applicability of former rule requirements, please phone Code Assistance at (609) 984-7609.
There are three circumstances that may warrant knowledge of and reference to formerly adopted code or subcode requirements; they are: 1) the grace period, 2) an open permit or deligently prosecuted plan review or permit application, and 3) the impact of a Permit Extension Act.  In the case of grace period, note that it shall only apply to revisions of subcodes.

Information concerning the grace period may be found at NJAC 5:23-1.6

Information concerning the Permit Extension Act of 2008 (now extended another 2 1/2 years by P.L. 2009, c.336) may be found on our Alerts & Issues page or by clicking here.
