The Code Assistance Unit provides code assistance to homeowners, builders/contractors, design professionals, code officials as well as any other interested parties.  The unit also provides the necessary technical input and support to the Code Advisory Board and its Subcode Committees.

Code Assistance participates in the model code development process and provides technical input and support to various other government agencies.  It prepares rule proposals and explanatory materials such as bulletins and newsletter articles.

Together, these functions support the overall mission of the Division in creating a safe living environment for the community.
