We get a lot of questions about how to build and live a greener lifestyle. Here are a few of the most common questions we get, and our answers to these questions.
- I have been searching for an eco-friendly home and/or an eco-friendly contractor. Can you recommend someone?
- I am building (or renovating) my home. Where can I find out about incentives, grants, loans and other financial options for Green Building?
A. The Green Homes Office doesn't recommend specific builders, realtors or developers. However, we work with a lot of organizations that maintain lists of eco-friendly partners and projects.

National Association of Home Builders - Green Building program
The NAHB is a trade organization that also maintains a green building program. They should be able to point you to green builders and/or developers in your area.
A. The State of New Jersey offers some of the most generous incentives for Green Building in the nation. You'll find links to many of the available programs in our Homeowner's Programs section.
