New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency Offers Free Foreclosure Resource Event in Atlantic City

 

WHO:

New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA)

WHAT:

In an effort to assist struggling homeowners to keep their homes, HMFA is offering a FREE Foreclosure Resource Event to provide information on the availability of free foreclosure resources designed to address different aspects of foreclosure prevention.

HUD-approved housing counselors will be available to work one-on-one with homeowners to assist them in avoiding a foreclosure or in certain cases to help homeowners better understand the foreclosure process. Information will be made available on short-term assistance for homeowners who have been paying their mortgage but recently experienced short-term hardship to cause them to fall behind on their mortgage or to those who have experienced more severe hardships and are now facing foreclosure.

Additional organizations will be in attendance to provide assistance in a wide array of areas including energy assistance, career counseling, job search assistance and other services.
