February 2015 Update: In November 2014, New Jersey voters approved a change to the state constitution that provided a stable source of funding for open space and historic preservation by drawing funds from the Corporate Business Tax. Legislation has been introduced (Bill A4203) that appropriates 3% of available funding to the New Jersey Historic Trust for 2016-2019. This is approximately $2.1 million annually for historic preservation grants. The amount of grant funding, guidelines and application process has yet to be determined.
