An attorney with the Public Defender's office since 1974, Mr. Jones is responsible for supervising the Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean county regional public defender offices, as well as the Division of Mental Health Advocacy, the Special Hearings Unit. He also handles ancillary services applications and is also the legislative liaison for the agency.

He is a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court's Criminal Practice since 1987.

Dale was born on October 22, 1948, in Rahway, and raised in Clark. He is a graduate of the Rutgers Newark College of Arts and Sciences and Rutgers University School of Law. He is the father of three sons and a daughter.
