Ms. Biancardi has been an attorney with the Office of the Public Defender since 1989, beginning as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in the Bergen Region. She later served as the Deputy in charge of the Sussex Region. She supervised the Appellate Section from 2000 to 2011. In 2001 Ms. Biancardi was appointed to the position of Assistant Public Defender, a position which she currently maintains. In that title, she oversees the Essex Adult, Hunterdon, Morris, and Sussex Criminal Trial regions, as well as the Post-Conviction Relief Unit. She graduated from Manhattan College in 1985 with degrees in philosophy and psychology and received her law degree from Seton Hall University Law School in 1988.
