RADIUS 3.5 Update Page

IMPORTANT ! (Instructions have been updated August 2012)

PLEASE PRINT THIS PAGE TO ASSIST IN THE INSTALLATION PROCESS

RADIUS is intended to be installed only on the C: drive an individual PC. Installing RADIUS to a network drive, or anything other than the C: drive is not recommended. Any problems encountered will be at the installers own risk.

Help cannot be provided from the RADIUS Helpdesk to recover information if RADIUS is installed in either fashion listed above.

If you do not have, or the computer you are using has never had, RADIUS installed, simply follow the link at the bottom of this page to download the setup program and install RADIUS.

If you are installing RADIUS on a computer that has any previous version of RADIUS installed, You MUST follow the following steps.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN COMPLETE LOSS OF ALL DATA PREVIOUSLY ENTERED INTO RADIUS.

1. DO NOT uninstall your previous version of RADIUS. Also please make sure that you do not have any other programs running on you computer while upgrading (ie. E-mail programs, Virus software... as this may slow the upgrade).
2. If you have any sticky notes attached in your RADIUS permits, you must delete them from the application document. To do this open each document individually. If there are sticky notes they will immediately appear on the screen. Select delete to remove each one until there are none left. Repeat this procedure for all the documents stored in RADIUS.
3. Download RADIUS version 3.5. Save this file in a temporary folder.
4. Close any open programs, especially previous versions of RADIUS (upgrading the program with the older version of RADIUS open will corrupt the program).
5. Go to the folder where you downloaded the RADIUS setup program and run the file radius35.exe by double clicking on it. (If at any time during the file conversion from the older to the newer version, you receive a blank box or a "Not Responding" message PLEASE DO NOT EXIT THE INSTALLATION, RADIUS IS WORKING AND MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO COMPLETE. SOME VERY LARGE FACILITIES MAY TAKE HOURS TO COMPLETE - YOU WILL SEE A "FINISHED" MESSAGE WHEN THE FILE CONVERSION COMPLETES).
6. Follow the instructions provided to you by the installation program. Once completed you can start RADIUS.
7. Unlike previous versions of RADIUS this new version will automatically transfer your existing documents. There is no need to export and import individual files. IMPORTANT!! If you receive an error during installation, DO NOT run the setup file again, doing so will corrupt all files in your database. Running the setup file a second time will cause the loss of all files and will not be recoverable. CALL THE RADIUS HELPDESK, (609) 633-7259, FOR ASSISTANCE!

Please note that the automatic transfer procedure may take some time to complete if you are dealing with multiple permits in RADIUS. LET THE PROCEDURE COMPLETE OR YOUR INFORMATION WILL BECOME CORRUPTED.
