May 9, 2012: DEP staff, Monmouth County Clean Communities and Howell Township Clean Communities staff worked together to clean-up the Moses Milch stormwater basin and recreation areas in the Metedeconk River watershed. Howell Township took care of safety and equipment and Monmouth County provided the disposal of trash and recyclables.
Our group of twenty-three worked for approximately 2.5 hours and picked up 48 bags of trash and recyclables. Among the multitudes of plastic bags, beverage containers and food wrappers, we found the full sports assortment of basketball, soccer ball, baseballs, golf balls and tennis balls.
Most interesting items: cooler, the full sports assortment of basketball, soccer ball, baseballs, golf balls and tennis balls

October 19, 2011 Blitz Recap:
DEP staff, AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors and Howell Township Clean Communities staff worked together to clean-up the area near the corner of Church and Kent Streets within the Metedeconk watershed.
Our group of ten worked for approximately 2 hours and picked up 33 bags of trash and recyclables. Among the multitudes of plastic bags, beverage containers and food wrappers, we found hub caps, part of a car bumper, fencing, cable wire and a hand saw.
Howell Township took care of safety and equipment as well as disposal of clean-up items.
