The Clean Water Council of New Jersey was established in 1967 to serve as an advisory board to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and to improve the Water Pollution Control Program in New Jersey. The council consists of seventeen appointed members: six permanent members and eleven member who serve for four year terms.

2016 Clean Water Council Public Hearing

The New Jersey Clean Water Council (NJCWC) seeks public testimony on the DEP’s Preliminary Draft Renewal of the stormwater permits issued to municipalities authorizing the discharge of stormwater from municipal stormwater systems. These municipal systems are referred to as Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems, or MS4s.
