New
Jersey Environmental
Performance Partnership Agreement (FY 2008-2010)
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection
And U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 2 |
|
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)
is proud to be a state leader in implementing the National Environmental
Performance Partnership System (NEPPS) and is pleased that NJDEP
and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2 agreed
to another Performance Partnership Agreement (PPA). The Agreement
is for a three year time period (State FY08-10); both agencies
will have the opportunity to identify, annually, those items that
need to be revised. This is the 6th PPA for New Jersey. The PPA
set forth jointly developed goals, objectives, and priorities;
the strategies to be used in meeting them; the roles and responsibilities
of NJDEP and EPA Region 2; and the measures to be used in assessing
progress. This PPA describes our continued shared agenda for environmental
progress in the State of New Jersey, our measures to evaluate
this progress and agreed upon strategies to reach our mutual goals.
This plan furthers the partnership for environmental protection
in the State while also articulating our expectations for the
state/federal relationship. The PPA also serves as the work plan
for the Performance Partnership Grant (PPG), the funding vehicle
for awarding combined applicable PPA environmental programs funds
under a single grant. For SFY 2008 through 2010, the areas to
be covered under this PPA include: |
- Clean
Air Act, Title 105
-
Clean Water Act, Titles 106, 104(b)3, 319(h)
-
Safe drinking water (Public Water Supply Supervision)
-
