Additional
Air Monitoring in Paterson (AAMP)
Update
- November 2010:
In
May 2010, the NJDEP was informed
by Eastern Research Group, Inc.
(ERG, Inc), the USEPA national contract
lab, that the quality control measures
prepared by their analyst were calculated
incorrectly for the volatile organic
compounds (VOC) that were measured
during the Urban Community Air Toxics
Monitoring Project, Paterson City,
NJ (UCAMPP). The data were corrected
using USEPA approved procedures
which resulted in changes to a small
number of data points less than
4%). The original dataset was updated
with the recalculated values and
statistics were again applied to
the updated dataset. Because the
number of affected data points was
so small, and because most of the
changes were small themselves, these
adjustments to the dataset did not
result in any changes in the final
conclusions that were reached in
the report.
