Permit Administration Section

The Permit Administration Section provides information management services and administrative support to the Division of Water Quality. Information management is accomplished through the creation of various database reports to evaluate program progress and efficiency as well as extracting specific data information. Administrative support is done through administration of monitoring report forms, administrative reviews of NJPDES and TWA permit applications, NJPDES annual permit fees and USEPA/NJDEP database coordination programs (PCS).


The administrative review unit conducts administrative reviews of NJPDES permit applications. For NJPDES permits it also issues minor modifications.

The monitoring report form unit inputs data from monitoring report forms into the Departments database as well as managing the Electronic Data Interchange program.

The NJPDES fee report unit manages the NJPDES fee program through the preparation and issuance of annual bills and collection monitoring.

The PCS unit transmits NJPDES permit monitoring data to the USEPA database as well as coordinates and resolves USEPA/NJDEP database issues for NJPDES permits.
