Municipal Stormwater Regulation Program
Municipal Stormwater Permit Status
As most of you may be aware, all four (4) Municipal General Permits have expiration dates of February 28, 2014. However, these permits will remain in full force and effect until renewal permits are issued. Until then, continued implementation of all aspects of your Tier A, Tier B, Public Complex or Highway General Permit(s) is required. You will be notified once draft permits are available and have the opportunity to comment on any proposed changes at that time. Please contact your case manager if you have any specific questions on the renewal process. The Department appreciates your continued cooperation in this matter.
*New - Online Reporting specifications for MSRP Annual Report and Certification can be found under specific permit category below.
The general permits address stormwater quality issues related to new development, redevelopment and existing development by requiring regulated entities to implement Statewide Basic Requirements (SBRs).

Stormwater Overhaul Outreach Sessions
Outreach sessions related to Stormwater Overhaul activities were conducted by the Division of Water Quality on October 3 (Morris Arboretum, Morristown), October 6th (NJ Forensic Tech Center, Hamilton), and October 15th (Batsto Villagae, Hammonton). The sessions were designed to provide an overview/summary of the current status of ongoing activities, including the proposed Tier A Stormwater Annual Report changes and Audit Program, an update on the MS4 Tier A renewal permit, a demonstration of the benefits of mapping stormwater infrastructure, and funding opportunities available for stormwater projects. The information presented at these outreach sessions is provided below. Please note that these presentations do not represent final decisions by the Department. For additional information or questions, please see the last slide of each presentation for contact information.
