The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (commission) will host a public meeting on proposed changes to the Horseshoe Crab Fishery Management Plan on Tuesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. in Pomona, Atlantic County. The proposed changes include several options for the implementation of a coastwide landings cap for the commercial horseshoe crab bait fishery prior to the beginning of the 2000 fishing season.
The meeting will be held at Stockton College's A-Wing Lecture Hall in Pomona. State public hearings will also be held in Massachusetts, New York, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia in early January.
