The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife will host its annual "Coastal Connection" Workshop for Teachers, May 15-17 at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, Cape May County.

"This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for educators to 'get connected' to New Jersey's unique and fragile coastal environment, and pass the knowledge on to their students," said Division Director Bob McDowell.

Taught by professional wildlife biologists and educators skilled in coastal natural resource subjects, the workshop is designed for "hands-on" participation. In addition to class instruction, attendees will participate in an educational cruise on the Delaware Bay Schooner Project's vessel, the A.J. Meerwald.

The price is $110 for the weekend, which includes room, meals, instruction, cruise and special evening programs. Graduate credit is available at extra cost.

To request additional workshop information and registration form, or a list of marine, coastal and aquatic educational resources, call 609-748-2031 anytime and leave address. Be sure to reference either the coastal workshop or educational resource list.
