In-Season Stocking Schedules:
Week 1, April 11 - 15
Week 2, April 18 - 22
Week 3, April 25 - 29
Week 4, May 2 - 6
Week 5, May 9 - 13
Week 6, May 16 - 20
Week 7, May 23 - 27
4/18/05 - The Week 6 Round Valley Reservoir stocking on 5/16 has been rescheduled to Week 4 on 5/2.
4/7/05 - Bonus Broodstock will be stocked in Verona Park Pond instead of Clarks Pond as originally planned. Both are in Essex County.
For information on where to fish, visit our pages on lakes, ponds and reservoirs and streams and rivers open to public angling.
Note that the following Year Round Trout Conservation Areas are not stocked as frequently as the rest of the stream due to the special regulations (one 15" trout per day, with no harvest allowed during the pre-season and in-season stocking closures that apply to each stream):
These stretches are scheduled for stocking during the pre-season period, Week 3 (April 25 - 29), Week 6 (May 16 - 20) and Week 7 (May 23 - 27). The Claremont stretch on the S/Br. Raritan River is not stocked with trout because reproducing populations of brook and brown trout are present and provide a trout fishery.
