MUNICIPAL RECYCLING
TONNAGE GRANT PROGRAM
PURPOSE OF FUNDING
To provide an incentive to counties and municipalities
to increase their recycling activities and reduce
their overall percentage of disposal.
SOURCE OF FUNDING
The Recycling Tonnage Grants fund represents 25% of
the annual revenues of the "Clean Communities
and Recycling Grant Fund."

WHO IS ELIGIBLE
New Jersey municipalities and counties.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR
CONSIDERATION
Submission of an annual recycling tonnage report.
GRANT LIMITATIONS
Limitations are dependent upon annual funding amount
and the amount of materials recycled.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Application procedures are explained in the Annual
Recycling Tonnage Report Guidebook of Forms and Instructions.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The annual reporting of recycling tonnage is, by statute,
July 1st annually. However, to be considered
for grant funding, the Bureau of Recycling and Planning
requests that applications be submitted by April 30th.
NOTIFICATION DATE
Second quarter of the calendar year following application
submission.
