Fuels Reduction Biomass Utilization and Marketing
Purpose of Funding
To provide cost-share incentives to stimulate contractors, loggers, wood cutters and other forestry businesses to invest in new and innovative equipment and/or marketing strategies for utilizing low value forest products from the pinelands region of NJ.
Source of Funding
USDA Forest Service- through the National Fire Plan.

Who is Eligible
Loggers, contractors, woodcutters and foresters.
 Qualifications Required for Consideration
Attendance at a workshop on Firewise Concepts in the NJ Pinelands presented by the NJ Forest Fire Service; or other suitable Firewise Workshop. Proof that the applicant’s business is located or operates primarily within the NJ Pinelands region.
Grant/Loan Limitations
Funding is limited to half of the project cost, up to $10,000.
Application Procedures
A description of the project and a “Proposal for Reimbursement” are required in order for an application to be considered. Applications may be submitted at any time within the period deadlines listed below.
Each application will be evaluated based its ability to enhance the utilization and marketing of low value forest products.
Review Process
Allocation of funds is dependent on the RPCPOs planning process ability to project future wastewater usages and complete or update an existing Wastewater Management Plan and includes submittal of a Scope of Work with specific tasks and deadlines.
