Hearing to solicit preliminary comment from the public on the intention of the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Passaic to seek the approval of the New Jersey State House Commission to dispose or divert an approximate one-third acre of Passaic County-owned land immediately adjacent to 100 Dey Road in the Township of Wayne to that adjacent property owner (Vision Research).
The purpose of this proposed disposal or diversion is to provide that land owner with much needed parking for its employees and/or visitors. This small parcel, while technically part of the Passaic County-owned Golf Course known as Preakness Valley Golf Course, is several hundred yards from the outskirts of the Course and physically separated from the remainder by Dey Road. This land, however, is part of the County of Passaic's open space inventory and, as such, is subject to the NJDEP Green Acres Program requirements.
