Monroe Township will be holding a scoping hearing to receive comments on its request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to divert an approximately five (5) acre portion of the thirty-five (35) acre Township-owned Genova Tract designated as Block 13001, Lot 16, on Clayton Road in connection with the proposed future development of an indoor recreation center on the diverted area. As compensation for the proposed diversion, Monroe Township proposes to permanently dedicate a fifteen (15) acre portion of Block 9402, Lot 2 on Bluebell Road at Malaga Road as for recreation and/or conservation purposes. The Township of Hopewell will hold a public meeting for the purpose of receiving comment on a proposed change in purpose or use on 10 acres of the Alliger Tract, Hopewell Township Tax Block 92, Tax Lot 9, 221 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville, NJ 08560 (NJDEP Green Acres Project #1106-97-091 and 11-95-24), to permit the on-site construction of a building.

The Township proposes to relocate the historic Harts Corner Schoolhouse from the corner of Mercer County Route 546 and Scotch Road to an area on Alliger Park located immediately west of the existing parking lot on Alliger Park. The building will be used for recreation and conservation purposes including meetings, display of historic information, file storage, and other park uses. The building will be modified to include restrooms to be served by an on-site well and septic system.

The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comment as to the proposed conveyance of a property to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.5, Administrative Transfer of Parkland. The Borough is requesting to convey Block 136, Lot 11 to the NJDEP. The property will continue to be preserved for recreation and conservation purposes. The Borough is proposing to allow lessee, the Tenafly Nature Center Association to use approximately 2 acres of the above mentioned property to build a new Education and Discovery Center. Please take notice that the County of Ocean will hold a public meeting (scoping hearing) to receive public comment as to the proposed 2.7 3.93 acre diversion of a portion of County-owned lands located at Block 394, Lots 136 and 9 in the Township of Toms River, County of Ocean (area of diversion REVISED April 3, 2013). The said properties were purchased with Ocean County Natural Lands Trust Funds and are therefore encumbered by State of New Jersey Green Acres regulations.

As to said lands, a permanent easement is proposed to be dedicated for the construction of the proposed access driveway to Ocean County College and related stormwater facilities. Compensation will be provided by Ocean County in the form of replacement land on a nearby Block 394, Lot 51 owned by Ocean County.

Please take notice that the Township of Burlington (Township) will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the proposed diversion of a 0.09 acres portion of Township-owned parkland, Green Acres Park Four, located at the end of Pinewald Lane and Lardner Road, Block 144, Lot 10 in the Township ("the Diversion") for use as a sanitary sewer easement. The Diversion will accommodate construction of a gravity sanitary sewer main utilizing trenchless technology thus requiring no excavation or disturbance of the parkland. Upon completion the outmoded Pinewald Sewage Pump Station will no longer be necessary and will be removed. The parkland in question is encumbered with a State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection ("NJDEP") Green Acres Program restriction, and the Township has submitted a final application for the minor diversion of said lands to the NJDEP Green Acres Program, for approval by the NJDEP Commissioner and the State House Commission. As compensation for the Diversion the Township has agreed to contribute $2,500.00 to the NJDEP Garden State Preservation Trust and will dedicate Block 144, Lot 9.05, where the current Pinewald Pump Station is located, consisting of 0.11 acres, for park use for the Diversion. The Nature Conservancy, located at 2350 Route 47, Delmont, NJ 08314, will hold a public hearing to obtain comments regarding its proposed administrative transfer of ownership interest in parkland between The Nature Conservancy and the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. This transfer is subject to Green Acres Program approval.

The proposed administrative transfer would involve the transfer of undivided interest held by The Nature Conservancy in 89,38 acres at Little Flatbrook Preserve, Block 46 Lots 25 & 25,01 and Block 47 Lot 23, to the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The properties shall continue to be used solely for recreation and conservation purposes and shall be reasonably accessible to the public to the same extent as or greater than prior to the transfer. The Green Acres restrictions and any other applicable recreation and conservation restrictions on the parkland shall continue to apply.

Take Notice that in accordance with N.J.S.A. 13:1D-51 through -58, the State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, will hold two public hearings to seek comments on the proposed auction of surplus residential property in the Township of Delaware, Hunterdon County.

The property proposed for auction is located within 64.28 acres of property acquired by the Green Acres Program in 2007 for the Division of Parks and Forestry as an addition to the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park. The property is known locally as the Holcombe House or Stavola Estate and contains one residence and several outbuildings. The street address for the property to be auctioned is 1680 Daniel Bray Highway (NJ Route 29) Lambertville, New Jersey 08530. The Department proposes to auction approximately six acres within Block 59, part of Lot 11 in the Township of Delaware, Hunterdon County along with the following structures:

  • a 2-story frame and stone farm house
  • a 2-story barn
  • a 1-story barn with silo attached
  • a 1-story shed
  • two corn cribs

Public hearing for the purpose of receiving public comment as to the proposed diversion of a portion of Township-owned parkland, Nishuane Park, located at Cedar Avenue, Block 2003, Lot 4 in the Township of Montclair, County of Essex. As to said lands, an area totaling 0.426 acres is proposed to be diverted of which approximately 0.056 acres will consist of the building and the remaining diversion area of approximately 0.370 acres is for an access road off of High Street. In addition 0.234 acres is required as temporary workspace utilized during construction. The proposed diversion is for the construction of a well production and water treatment facility, expanding the capabilities of the existing Township potable water supply system. The building will be constructed in two phases. The parkland in question is encumbered with a State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres Program restriction, and the Township has submitted a final application for the minor diversion of said lands to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, for approval by the Department's Commissioner and by the State House Commission. As compensation for the diversion of parkland described above, the Township has agreed to provide funding in the amount of $130,000 for recreation improvements within the Township for the diversion of the Township-owned parkland described above.
