COASTAL GENERAL PERMIT 24 – Legalization of the filling of tidelands
The Coastal General Permit 24 authorizes the legalization of the filling of any lands formerly flowed by the tide, provided:
- The filling occurred after 1914.
- The fill appears on the applicable Tidelands Map adopted by the Tidelands Resource Council (base map photography dated 1977/78.
- Public access must be provided in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:7E-3.50 and 8.11.
- The legalization of filling of tidelands for a single family home that is not part of a larger development may qualify for a permit-by-rule, see N.J.A.C. 7:7-7.2(a)9.
