DGS97-1 Public-Community Water-Supply Wells of New Jersey

The Public-Community Water-Supply (PCWS) Wells is an ESRI Geographic Information
System (GIS) point shapefile with associated Microsoft Access™ relational
database. It contains information for the wells in New Jersey that supply
potable water to public communities. The NJDEP has cataloged and field located,
using the Global Positioning System (GPS), the PCWS wells as part of the
Source Water Area delineation process. (Updated 7-11-2011)
The public community water supply (PCWS) layer was removed until a secure web portal is developed. A locational search for wells (Aerial Receptor Evaluation Search) is provided on the Division of Water Supply and Geoscience web site at http://www.nj.gov/dep/watersupply/pw_permit.html
Questions or assistance with searches may be emailed to wellpermitting@dep.state.nj.us
