Beer tasting at the Indian King Tavern
Three cheers for 300! Come celebrate Haddonfield’s 300th, with a mug of beer, good food and song. Meet the Indian King Tavern’s innkeeper, Hugh Creighton and hear the story behind this historic site.
This event is held out of doors under tents. This is an outdoor event in the yard of the site.

Encampment and Skirmish
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
British troops will occupy the Indian King Tavern after having driven the Rebels down the King’s Highway to the Historical Society.
This event will take place both out of doors and inside the tavern, which is not ADA accessible.

Public reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Indian King Tavern Museum
In February 1777, at the urging of John Hancock, the Declaration of Independence was officially read into the New Jersey Assembly minutes while meeting at the Indian King Tavern.
Reading to take place at 9:30 AM
To take place out of doors, weather permitting.
Free to the public.
