Sunday, February 10 1-4 p.m. Visitors of all ages are welcome to drop-in at Historic Walnford, Monmouth County Park System, to view some lovely 19th century Valentines. Suitably inspired, they may craft one of their own to take home, using the materials provided.
Saturday and Sunday, March 16,17 drop-in from 1 - 4 p.m. to view early 19th c. bound newspapers and other periodicals saved across generations in the attic at Historic Walnford. Items are on view for the public to read and enjoy this weekend only.
Sunday, April 7, 12-3 p.m. drop-in to see Cullinary Historian Clarissa Dillon explain colonial cooking practices on a cool hearth in the kitchen of the Waln Family's elegant, spacious 1773 home.
Saturday, April 27 from 12 - 4 p.m. A select group of talented woodworkers will demonstrate 18th and 19th century woodworking tools and techniques throughout the afternoon.
Repairs have been completed! The gristmill at Historic Walnford will resume grinding corn in to meal with weekend afternoon demonstrations April-November, 2013.
