Search along the trails to find as many items from the list as you can. Activity is suitable for families.

Learn the basics of insect ecology. Then put that knowledge to use by playing a round or two of "Bug Bingo"

PANNING FOR "GOLD"
Learn about the old gold-rush days in America. Become a prospector and pan for gold (pyrite) in our streams. Wear old sneakers and "wet-able" clothing for this activity.

RAINSTICKS
Make rainsticks. Kids will find their own sounds to put in the rainsticks. Then we all will try to guess what the sound is.
All programs are free of charge. Participants meet at the far end of the main parking lot of Stephens State Park, 800 Willow Grove Street, Hackettstown. (908) 852-3790 Programs start at 1:00 p.m. and last about 1 hour. Please call if you have any questions.
