Every hour of the day, seven days a week, the Bureau of Air Monitoring updates this Air Quality website. Formal and non-formal educators can utilize this site in numerous ways as the information given allows for constant updated access to statewide levels of ozone and other pollutants. Graphs listing current conditions and 24 hour periods are available for nine regions of New Jersey. A direct link to this page is available on the DEP main page.
Educators can utilize the sites listings as a reference library of air pollutants and air related health standards.
Historical data and current monitoring maps of New Jersey allow students to plot information over extended periods of time for reference, comparisons, predictions of future trends and long-term projects.
Links to other useful sites, including an interactive game, are just a click away.
Free listings of the NJ Air Quality Index and daily ozone forecasts are available by e-mail or fax. Call the number listed below to be added to the recipient list.
