Estuary Live

Take your students on an EstuaryLive telecast!

EstuaryLive is part of National Estuaries Day, every last Saturday on the month of September. It consists of free live Internet field trips to four different estuaries around the country. Designed as being interactive for classrooms, the program can be viewed by anyone. Check out the EstuaryLive schedule and get started on an estuarine adventure by registering now for future telecasts! Visit the National Estuaries Day website often to learn more about how to participate.

During the program, naturalists from the National Estuarine Research Reserve System, a part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Estuary Program, a part of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, will take participants on a journey through each unique ecosystem. Participants will interact with the tour guides by emailing questions during the field trips. Most questions will be answered live during the broadcast. An educator will respond to any questions not answered live during the internet broadcast by emailing the recipient directly. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is a partner in helping to implement and promote this initiative in New Jersey.
