DEP offers both paid and voluntary internships that provide opportunity for college students and other interested individuals to learn about environmental protection while developing skills in research, writing, public speaking, program development, field studies and instruction.
Internships provide students and other individuals with the opportunity to learn about New Jersey's environmental issues and programs.
Interns gain work experience in a friendly and helpful professional atmosphere. They are also exposed to working within a large government agency.
Types of internship opportunities vary from year to year and are based upon priorities, needs and funding availability.
