5. Submitting Data to SRP

4. Downloading SRP-EDI and EDSA7

Q:

Must the files I send to SRP be Zipped?

A:

No, there is no intent to support Zip files, they can pose a security risk and some email clients do not support transmitting .zip extensions. Since electronic submissions require one set of EDDs to be submitted per email, and the files are tab delimited text, they will fit within the 25 MB file attachment limit of most free email services.

Q:

May I submit more than one dataset for a site on one diskette?

A:

If data are being submitted for the same program interest, multiple datasets may be submitted. However, the individual datasets must be put in separate subdirectories, so SRP can distinguish between files with the same name. There should be as many subdirectories as there are datasets. The subdirectory name should be the same as that used in the DIRECTORY field in the DTST file.

Q:

May I submit datasets for different sites on the same diskette?

A:

A: No. The submission must be identified in such a way that it can be tied to the report, whether the report is hard-copy or electronically sent, so that SRP can deem the entire package complete.
