Subject [SRRA] SRPL Board Audit Committee to Hold Open Forum May 17 [Corrected URL]

Greetings!

The Audit Committee of the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board (SRPLB) has prepared a draft description of a proposed audit process in accordance the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) at N.J.S.A. 58:10C-24. This process includes the completion of a questionnaire.

The Committee has received almost 300 written comments from DEP staff, Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), the LSRP Association and other interested parties, as well as oral comments at several Board meetings, most recently on April 20th. Following review of the comments and discussion, the Committee has decided to hold an Open Forum on May 17, 2011 from 4:30 to 6:30pm in the Public Hearing Room at the DEP to hear additional comments and suggestions on the proposed process and questionnaire. Following this meeting, the Committee will proceed to make a final proposal of the process to the Board. Therefore, the Audit Committee encourages all interested parties to attend this meeting. Recipients of this email are free to forward this information to others who may have an interest in attending.

If you plan to attend this meeting, please email Karen Hershey at karen.hershey@dep.state.nj.us to inform her that you will be participating.

A description of the proposed audit process and the draft questionnaire can be found on the Board's web site at http://www.nj.gov/lsrpboard/.

Thank you.
