The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) announces the availability of the new "Child Care/Educational Facility Remediation Form" and accompanying instructions. The purpose of this Form is to consolidate and clarify what critical information is necessary when licensed site remediation professionals (LSRPs) evaluate child care/educational facility sites, and to assist LSRPs and responsible parties when remediating such sites. This Form will also assist in streamlining and expediting the inspection and review process performed by NJDEP. If you have any questions regarding this Form or accompanying instructions, please contact Diane Pupa of the Bureau of Inspection and Review at 609-633-1479.

Updates have been completed to the Remedial Action Permit Application Form for Ground Water, Remedial Action Permit Form for Soils, and Remedial Action Permit Transfer/Change of Ownership Application Form and their accompanying instructions. These new forms and accompanying instructions contain many changes and additions that will help make the processing of the Remedial Action Permit Applications more efficient. The Soil and Ground Water Remedial Action Permit Application Forms now include questions concerning Technical Impracticability Determinations, additional Receptor Evaluation questions regarding Operation, Maintenance, and Monitoring Plans for Vapor Intrusion engineering controls/mitigation systems and Point of Entry Treatment (POET) water systems, as well as updated rule citations. Also, the new Ground Water Remedial Action Permit Application Form now includes a signature section for the current owner of the site. If you have any questions regarding these Forms or accompanying instructions, please contact Bob Soboleski, Bureau Chief of the Bureau of Remedial Action Permitting, at 609-984-2990.

Lastly, the Receptor Evaluation Form has also been updated to include information regarding surface water and Land Use issues. If you have any questions regarding this Form or accompanying instructions, please contact Myrna Campion, Bureau Chief of the Bureau of Inspection and Review, at 609-633-1479.
